Additional OrganizationsPermanent link for this heading

As specially authorized administrator of the main organization you can create additional organizations and assign them to your organization members. For these organizations you can specify the number of licenses and the available storage space and you can also carry out further administrative tasks (for this purpose no administrative organization role is required in these organizations).

Depending on whom you define as owner or co-owner, you pass the complete control of the organization to the corresponding users (see chapter “Organization Roles”). In additional organizations no new users can be created.

Create Organization ManagementPermanent link for this heading

The organization management can be used to create and manage additional organizations.

To create an organization management, perform the following steps:

  1. Create a Teamroom and navigate in it.
    Note: The Teamroom has to be assigned to the main organization.
  2. Open the context menu in an empty part of the content area and click “New”.
  3. Select the “Organization Management” entry, enter a name and click “Next”.

To create an additional organization, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate in the organization management.
  2. Click the “Create Organization” action.
  3. Define the desired settings.
    • Name
      The name of the organization.
    • Owner
      The owner of the organization can manage the organization and has access to all Teamrooms of the organization. Only the owner himself can define a new owner.
    • Co-Owner
      Co-owners have the same rights as owners but cannot define a new owner.
    • Number of Licenses
      Defines how many members with full access can be added to the organization.
    • Number of Licenses (Read Access)
      Defines how many members with read access can be added to the organization.
    • Available Storage Space (in GB)
      Defines how much storage space can be consumed.
    • Maximum File Size (in MB)
      Files can only be uploaded if the file size does not exceed the specified value.
    • Maximum Number of Versions Kept
      When objects are changed a version is created. Here you can define how many versions are kept at maximum.
  4. Click “Next”.

Manage OrganizationsPermanent link for this heading

To manage additional organizations, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate in the organization management.
  2. On the desired organization execute the “Manage Organization” context menu command.
  3. You can change the number of licenses and define storage settings.
  4. Click “Save”.

As administrator of the main organization you can also carry out all other administrative tasks for the organization. To do so, navigate in the organization and manage the members, the licenses and define advanced settings.
